MIRANDA R. CARROLL joined KSC as an associate in 2011, concentrating her practice in the areas of business and civil litigation, administrative and transactional law. She is admitted to the California State Bar as well as the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of California.

In 2009, Miranda earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, with a concentration in advocacy. Her various honors include Dean's Honor List, Dean's Scholarship, and Order of the Barristers. Miranda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with highest honors, in 2005.

Before joining the firm, Miranda practiced family, employment and appellate law. She served as legal counsel to the Public Employment Relations Board, where she drafted Board decisions for the agency in appellate litigation matters. Miranda also served Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as Assistant Deputy Appointments Secretary, where she facilitated political appointments to more than one hundred legal, correctional and county boards and commissions. While an Assistant Deputy, Miranda provided legal analysis for the Governor's Appointments Unit on incompatible offices and conflict of interest issues associated with the appointment process.

Miranda is a Board Member of Women Lawyers of Sacramento (WLS) and serves as Vice-Chair of the Judicial and Other Appointments Committee. She is a member of the WLS Child Protection Committee, the Sacramento County Bar Association and provides pro bono legal work for the Forum Against Human Trafficking.
